Charlie Weis pays for KU students to come to seniors’ final home game

Kansas coach Charlie Weis hasn't had a great season, PR-wise, between ripping student reporters and a decision to have practices dedicated to non-senior players. But he's ending this season the right way.
Kansas announced that Weis will foot the bill for Kansas students to come to Saturday night's game against Iowa State, in order to honor the seniors at their last home game.
Kansas students just need to show up within two hours of kickoff with their student ID, and Weis will pay for any tickets that are picked up. KU student football tickets are $10 each, so it could add up in a hurry for Weis. That's a classy gesture by Weis, and hopefully the Kansas students fill their section.

Kansas has 23 seniors, and their season hasn't gone as hoped. The Jayhawks are 1-9 and haven't secured a victory since a season-opening win over South Dakota State. Over their last three games, the Jayhawks have suffered two heartbreaking losses -- a last-minute defeat to Texas at home and a double-overtime loss last week at Texas Tech.
Win or lose on Saturday, Weis is doing his best to make it a memorable final home game for the seniors.
