Courteney Cox and her daughter are kicking off the Thanksgiving holiday early — with a sunny getaway to Miami Beach!
The "Cougar Town" star and her 8-year-old, Coco, touched down in the
Sunshine State on Sunday for some sun and fun. They're staying in a posh
hotel with ocean views (natch!), and have been regular fixtures at the
beach and pool.

Cox, 48, happily sunbathed and showed off her bikini bod on a private
balcony, she decided to keep covered up while accompanying her daughter
to the beach on Sunday afternoon. Dressed in black pants (!) and a
striped top, the actress relaxed on a chaise lounge and chatted with
friends when she wasn't playing with her iPad. Coco, in a pink bikini,
went back and forth between her hanging with her little pals and her
mom.
Though their day at the beach was interrupted by a rain shower, the
bad weather was fleeting. Cox reportedly enjoyed a workout in the
meantime, then hit the pool — in her workout gear! — when the sun
returned.
Cox is still in the process of ending her marriage to Coco's father,
David Arquette. Separated since October 2010, they both filed divorce
papers in June. The split has remained amicable — not only are they
representing themselves in the divorce proceedings, they still co-own
and run their production company, Coquette, together. They have also
been seen out with their daughter on a number of occasions.

While Cox appears to be the picture of bliss here with Coco, pretty
soon she'll have little time to lay around. The new season of "Cougar
Town" premieres in January and she'll be tasked with getting the word
out that the show has switched networks and is now on TBS. It was also
recently announced that the "Partridge Family" matriarch, Shirley Jones,
will appear on the comedy this season. She will move in next door to
Cox's character Jules, which no doubt will cause some drama.
