While Michael Bay's Transformers movies are hilarious for many unintentional reasons, after watching the trailer for the director's latest action flick, Pain & Gain, it looks like his latest is funny on purpose.
Mark Wahlberg, The Rock, and Anthony Mackie
star as three bodybuilders who decide to make some cash by kidnapping
an evil rich guy. Naturally, things don't go as planned, and car chases,
boat chases, and gun battles ensue.
Since it's set in Florida in
the mid-'90s, there's plenty of ridiculous, technicolor fashion. At some
point it looks like The Rock gets Gak splattered across his face and
chest, but that could just be wishful thinking (and a little '90s
nostalgia kicking in).
The main cast gets a few jokes in, but it's nice to know that Rebel Wilson is standing by as a wise-cracking nurse for the movie's comedy needs. And to think — it's all based on a true story.
