This Friday's major release, UTV Motion Pictures' Rakeysh Omprakash
Mehra directed, BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG, managed quite a good start. While
the city multiplexes opened with 45-50 percent, the mass belts and
single screens were lower at around 30 percent. The best collections for
BMB came from the northern belt while Mumbai-Maharashtra was not at the
same level.
Given the by and large positive reviews and encouraging word-of-mouth, the Farhan Akhtar starrer saw a good pick up during the latter shows and is expected to grow substantially during the weekend.
Meanwhile, last Friday's Vikramaditya Motwane directed Ranveer, Sonakshi and Adil starrer, LOOTERA, could not capitalize on a healthy weekend and witnessed somewhat ordinary collections during the weekdays. The film has netted around 24-25 crore (to be validated) during the opening week from India and has a tough battle ahead.
