Attractive Bollywood actress and television personality Veena Malik is embroiled in a nasty dispute with her ex-manager and while it has put her on the defensive much of the time in the Bollywood media her willingness to fight has won her many fans. She is known to television and movie viewing audiences as one of the most attractive women in India but recently she has been under attack as she was alleged to have released an 'anti-India' social media message from her account until it was disclosed that her ex-manager had actually sent the message out as an attempt to discredit her and force her into paying him more money.
Many within the Bollywood entertainment industry wonder whether there was a past relationship between the two because his actions resemble those of a jilted lover rather than a business manager. Veena Malik recently married AsanKhan Khattak and since the marriage she clams her ex-digital manager and photographer, Prashant Singh, has held on to her jewelery and refuses to return it unless she pays him for it. This despite the fact that she paid him for his services as her manager and has the receipts to prove her statements.
While some within India disapprove of her willingness to wear little clothing as a model and actress the actions of her past manager have put her in a unique position as a 'victim' as many women, particularly young women throughout India support her for not allowing herself to be blackmailed by her ex-manager. Some Bollywood insiders feel that his actions are going to backfire on him and potentially make her a hot commodity within the film and entertainment world because other women are now looking at her as a role model for not allowing an ex-employee/lover to control her life even when they are no longer together.
Veena Malik is turning a potentially disastrous situation into one whereshe could end up smelling like a rose. One of the most controversial and provocative Indian entertainers is becoming a more attractive commodity to television and film producers because of her public willingness to fight back against a blackmail attempt from someone of her past. Sounds like a movie script for the future.
