Shahrukh’s KKR, Preity Zinta’s Kings XI Punjab and Shilpa Shetty’s Rajasthan Royals are all set to battle it out for another season of the IPL starting next month. Do their teams have any realistic chances of coming close to the title this year or will fresh controversies surround them? There’s this and a lot more to know through the cards this week.
On a general note, the IPL is not going to be a cake walk for any team. No owner, player or team supporter will feel at ease or even confident. There are multiple reasons for this, one is the inability to adjust to foreign conditions, the traveling and some unforeseen injuries.
Kolkata Knight Riders, owned by Shahrukh Khan will go through an inconsistent start – this will certainly put them on the back foot, but with the appearance of the Five of Wands and the Ten of Pentacles, they will manage a strong comeback. The team will come together well despite some unplanned changes being enforced upon them.
Shahrukh may not go through any Wankhede type controversies, but he will get into some sort of an argument, but the Eight of Pentaclesreflects that he will not be such a regular around the team anyway. Work will pre-occupy him despite his willingness to make time. Instead, it might be best advised for him to be seen towards the initial part of the tournament as that’s when the team will require his support the most.
IPL has always been a strange affair for Kings XI Punjab. They always leave it to the end to get themselves back into the tournament – often failing to do so. But there’s a twist this time. KXIP will start well, but a dip will trouble them. The Four of Swords implies a lack-lustre performance that will find them having to charge back into the season.Watch out for Preity Zinta as 2014 and 2015 provide her with a comeback too. Her career, like the Wheel of Fortune will turn in her favour, seeing her regain balance and composure. She will enjoy the feeling of being a successful actor again through challenging and successful roles. It’s time of great blessing in which luck and hard work come together to provide her with much required results.
Rajasthan Royals have been a team comfortable at home, so with the IPL being in three phases, they will feel the difference. Tactically they will adjust well, especially in the first leg of the season. It’s mid-way that they will dip in energies, and like the Ten of Wands they will feel pressured by expectations. Taking on responsibilities and seeing them through has been a strong feature, and the last portion of the tournament will show just that. They will exude confidence.
It’ll be quite a relief for Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra as this IPL season does not drag them into any unnecessary controversies – instead they will manage to market the team and the RR brand better.
This IPL is wide open, of which the remaining five teams will certainly have a lot to say. But one thing is clear, each of these celebrity owned teams will make their presence felt.
