"You know what; the fact is that my father never wanted me to become a hero. He knew that there is certain expectation from a star-son. He didn't want me to go through that tension. Moreover, this industry was such an alien place for me since I have loved a protected life. Eventually when I got into it, it was a nosedive no less. I had to become total 'besharam'," says Tiger.
Still, was it as straight forward a choice to just get started on a film without taking any tips whatsoever from his dad, considering his three decade long experience?
Says promptly, "My father is not at all involved in my career. As a matter of fact, even my mother never knew what I was doing. Even when I was shooting for HEROPANTI, my father never came to the sets on a single day. He had so much trust in Sajid (Nadiadwala) and Sabbir (Khan) that he knew they would only mean good for me. Moreover, he knows that I am a hard worker. Till date, whenever we are together, we talk about food and family; that's it. We don't talk about films at all."
