Mark Wahlberg is adamant that Transformers fans will be blown away by the upcoming fourth instalment to the franchise, 'Transformers: Age Of Extinction.'
Wahlberg, who has replaced Shia LaBeouf as Optimus Prime's BFF for the adventure, spoke to IGNabout the explosive blockbuster and even though he admitted that the "only details he [could] give are the ones that are already out there," there was still some new information to be gleamed from his comments.
The 'Pain and Gain' star, who was convinced to star in 'Age Of Extinction' by director Michael Bay during their work on the 2013 action film, teased that Optimus Prime recruits the Dinobots to "come on-board and fight [their] fight" in an "elaborate" fashion.
Wahlberg also insisted that the best bits, unlike some other action movies out there, aren't in the trailer before he proclaimed that not only can audiences "expect to be blown away" but that they'll "get their money's worth … and die hard fans will have something to look forward to in the future."
Those remarks suggest that the groundwork for further instalments to the franchise could be peppered throughout 'Age Of Extinction,' which he confirmed differed from previous efforts in the series because the "new cast, new threat and new enemies are a little bit more realistic and believable."
Wahlberg's words did exactly what he intended them to do and have perfectly set up the latest addition to the robots in disguise's cinematic world.
It remains up in the air if his description for the film will actually be true - but by that point I'm guessing it will have already put plenty of bums of seats and impressively added to the franchise's mouth-watering box-office total.
